The movie is a 2015 Indian Kannada language superhero film directed by R. Balki and produced by Ramoji Rao. It stars Venkatesh, Ananth Nag, Prakash Raj and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. The story focuses on a poor orphan child Chota Bheem who dreams of becoming a great warrior. After hearing the legend of the magical golden deer's antlers that grant any wish, Bheem sets off on his adventure to recover one from the evil emperor Mahishmathi. "Bheemaa" was released on 20 July 2015. The movie opens with a flashback of Bheem (Venkatesh) and his wife (Priyanka Chopra). As Bheem narrates how he met his wife and how they fell in love. He continues, narrating how he took the challenge of bringing down a monster called Mungaru Male (Agni) who was unleashing terror in their village. In fighting against Mungaru Male, Bheem is brutally attacked and severely injured. He is saved by a sage, and the sage tells him that he and his wife will have a child. The sage calls upon Mother Earth to restore Bheem's powers. He is told that the next time he fights, he must use his powers for good. The sage advises that before long, Bheem must come to his house in order to learn the secret of the golden deer's antlers which are kept in the shed at his home. After this, it’s revealed that Bheem lives in an orphanage run by Ram Babu (Prakash Raj). Bheem, a happy-go-lucky kid, is being trained to be a fighter by Ram Babu. He meets an old man named Shankar (Ananth Nag) who tells him that next time he fights, he must use his powers for good. He also tells him that Mother Earth will restore his memory and power as well as let him meet his wife and child with the help of the golden antlers. Bheem promises to always do good. Bheem waits for a few days to meet Mother Earth again but it is not until a year later that he is able to see it again. He’s told to take a test in order to meet Mother Earth. He enters the forest and sees his wife (Priyanka Chopra) once again. She tells him that she is leaving for a while but promises to come back soon. She tells him not to lose himself when she is gone and that all will be revealed soon. A few months later, Bheem begins having strange dreams and visions of an old man he doesn’t know.
